Luke & James in Yankee Stadium

Thanks to Grandpa, we had pretty good seats. The camera, unfortunately, was my phone.

Oops.

I guess that picture came in sideways. Still working out the kinks here at Carney blogging central.

This is a test.

Testing out a new mobile-blogging trick.

Sample print

Unfortunately, the picture of the print was taken with my phone. But it gives a rough idea.

Prints

I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but most of the pictures on this site can be ordered from Fotki, our photo-hosting site, just by clicking on the picture and following the prompts on the right. I've used them myself, and the results are very good. I'll try to put up a post in a minute of a 20"x30" print I did of the New York skyline from the top of Rockefeller Center.

Under the Tuscan Sun

We attended the wedding of our friends Tony and Carrie in Tuscany, near Florence, Italy, in July. James was a ring-bearer in the ceremony. Here are some of the pictures from the wedding. Click through for the whole album, including some pictures of Florence and the Tuscan countryside.

It dates back to Christmas time, but Izzy just sent it over this weekend.

Speaking of Italy...

As Webmaster Sam alluded to below, we'll be in Italy starting next Saturday for a couple of weeks. I'd mention that this meant that the frequency of posts could be expected to decline, but, well, that seems superfluous at the moment...

More Self-Promotion...

I know I'm probably crowding out more-valuable posts with these, but here we go again.

Read my whimsical interview with Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster here. Enjoy!

United 93

Sam and I saw United 93 last night. It's hard to "recommend" it, in that it is not what I would call a pleasant experience. But it is a powerful, well-made and worth-while film, in my view.

Here is something I wrote about Flight 93 back in September, 2001.

And here is my brother's review of the film.
