Finally!!!

Yes, It's more like her half birthday, but we finally were able to settle a date for Allie's celebration with her friends.
She has planned and planned away for it, talking each week of what we could do at her party...
I think for sure this is the most organized we have ever been for a party!

Reflections of the past...

This was back when Luke and James were 5 and 4, taken at an antiques market outside Brussels.

The Sweet Express

For sure, what cuties. Of course, it's days like these where I resign
to leaving my camera at home and then I come across so many images I
would love to share. This gang was out for a school trip and were
being informed about the London railway. In the least I had my phone
camera. These British uniforms get me every time, kids look so grown
up in them. ;-)

What a day!

After running around and helping to cook up a big Indian feast, our
three little Indians passed out!

The new Allie...

After seeing James get his haircut earlier this week she was
inspired..and in school today apparently was caught playing
hairdresser! Needless to say she was banned from scissors for the rest
of the week by her teacher. Coincedentally today was the day we had
planned to go for her hair cut, she insisted she wanted it short short
short! Here are the results:

Thanks for your wishes for a Happy Anniversary!

Here we are at the Old Harry Rocks in Dorset.
Brian was under the impression that they were old and hairy, but it turned out they are named after old Harry!
(I set the camera up a top my bag and hoped for neither us or the camera to take a tumble);-)

Luke seriously trying to scare James as we wait to enter Highgate Cemetery

Thank you to cousin Brendan, we wouldn't have thought to have gone here if it weren't for his influence! He gave the boys a book
which takes place in the cemetery.

Walking up Egyptian Avenue

The boys were very excited as they had read about this part of the cemetery in The GraveYard Book, by Neil Gaiman.

Lebanon Cedar -Highgate Cemetary

This Lebanon cedar tree grows in a mass of earth at the center of this structure. These Mausoleums were built circularly,
and so create a sort of giant pot for the tree. The tree is as old as the cemetery which opened in 1839.

Oh my...

More sorting through old photos..

This was just after we moved back from Brussels in 05'...clearly I was handling motherhood and moving with no problem. ;-)
